Phillip Wale

hillip was appointed as Chief Executive in June 2012. Beginning his career in convertible bonds, he spent 10 years at Goldman Sachs in New York and London, including as co-head of pan-European equities.

He managed the equity businesses at Commerzbank and then at Knight Securities, where he was appointed European CEO. In 2004 he switched to fund management as CIO of a multi-strategy hedge fund, returning to the sell-side in 2007 with Collins Stewart.

Phillip joined Seymour Pierce in 2010 and was appointed its chief executive in 2011.

Patric Johnson
Deputy CEO

Patric Johnson has 18 years of experience in the financial services sector; he joined the firm from Investec (originally Evolution Group which Investec acquired in December 2012), where he served on the board of Evolution Securities and was Head of Distribution. Before joining Evolution Group, Patric was co-founder and Chief Operating Officer and member of the Board of ICAP Equities Ltd.

Patric started his career selling independent research for Standard & Poor’s, he was head of sales for the London office of Archipelago LLC which listed in the US and was the vehicle that the NYSE reversed into to become a listed company.

Patric is a shareholder and Board member of MatchCapital Limited and is on the board of Hilary Close Freehold Ltd a private property management company.

Ed Warner

Ed is Chairman of Blackrock Commodities Income Investment Trust plc, UK Athletics Limited (the sport’s national governing body), derivatives exchange, LMAX, and The Standard Life European Private Equity Trust plc.

He is a non-executive director of Clarkson PLC, Blackrock Commodities Income Investment Trust plc and Safecharge International Group Limited. He is also an independent non-executive of Grant Thornton UK LLP.

He was previously a director and chief executive of IFX Group PLC, the financial trading and spread betting company, chief executive officer of Old Mutual Financial Services UK, Head of Pan European Equities at BT Alex Brown, and Head of Global Research at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson.

He was appointed Chairman of Panmure Gordon in October 2010, having joined the Board as a non-executive director in December 2009.

Philip Tansey

hil has extensive experience leading global operations in dynamic enterprises.

He joined the firm from BGC Partners Inc where he was Chief Control Officer. Before joining BGC, he was a director within Deutsche Bank’s Office of Internal Controls.

His career has also spanned Credit Suisse First Boston, where he was Chief Operating Officer of the bank’s fixed income and derivatives product control group.
